Weekly Inspirational Message from December 5, 2009

The onset of winter is imminent with obvious signs in the northern hemisphere.  The first snows have fallen. Ponds that have flowed freely under the sun’s caress are now locked in the Mother’s frozen embrace.   Light dwindles until night seems to visit before the end of the day’s activities.   Breath is noticeable in crisp, cutting air and clouds appear laden with the promise of more frozen white crystals.  Mother Nature continues her endless cycles while most of her creations respond with harmony and surrender.  Only the human kingdom has the choice to acquiesce and flow or challenge with an attempt to impose a self-created and desired rhythm.   Many choose the former, having discovered the folly of challenging the natural order of all life in physical form.  Still many are the numbers who look at their own agendas and timetables independent of and superior to the natural flow of all life.  Free will gives you the opportunity to explore this dynamic and yet we would tell you that resisting natural flow to impose your own is like a wave from a small tributary trying to meet the powerful source river and sustain its own form and flow.  There is much wasted energy along with a crashing or crushing of one form as it ultimately aligns with the whole.  If you have ever found yourself in the white water rapids of a raging river, you have a visceral sense of what this feels like.

While it is true that each manifestation of light on earth has its unique energy signature and flow, there is a larger universal one that governs all life manifesting in a 3 dimensional world. You would do much better to align your unique rhythms with the greater one and thus harness that greater one to move you towards your desired destinations.  It is like harnessing the power of the sun or wind to generate energy rather than doing all the work fueled on human energy.   You are not asked to give up your unique rhythm – but rather to create a harmonic that not only enriches your own vibratory essence but adds to the fullness of the cosmic display of all life.

So no matter where you are now in your current manifestation or desire, align with the energy of winter.  Even if you feel in a more active or outward mode or expression, take time to go deep within and burrow amidst the rich silence of stillness.  In those deep, rich, almost primordial places are seeds of possibility strongly created, nurtured and grown until ready to be birthed into visible existence.   The wisdom of the Mother who has continually been birthing, sustaining and empowering life is vast and can certainly contribute to your attempts to do the same.   The Mother, like the Father, will not compete with the noise, the busy-ness, the full mind of predominantly outward-sourced and directed energies but will patiently and silently offer.   And just as trees and animals thrive by following not only their own unique patterns but those of the environment through which they find life, you can do the same.

For those who find invigoration in crisp, cold, snowy landscapes and activities, rejoice and engage.  Just have those quiet internal moments as well.  We suggest the same for those in the midst of launching new projects or expressions.  For those whose innate spring or summertime joy might create some resistance to the winter’s reign, surrender your resistance and find those moments to burrow deep within the core of heat the Mother possesses regardless of season.  Be less externally active but rather than experiencing boredom or arduousness, tap into the more subtle but no less powerful energies she exudes for rejuvenation, rest and new births.

Beloved ones, you are always loved, and nurtured.  You are always showered with the energies, wisdom, and support needed to birth and sustain your own soul-sourced mission.  If you find yourself resisting natural flow and heart’s desires, know you are probably responding to man-made – self, family or societal-  dictates rather than your own inner calling.  Bathe then in the womb of the Mother so new seeds can be planted in the your own creative womb.  Many blessings in this and all seasons,
