Weekly Inspirational Message 7/05/09

We hear a lot these days about how peace in the world can only occur when there is peace in the heart.  Outer  peace is an outpicturing of inner peace.  For that to manifest in a more global sense, there must be a critical mass of humanity experiencing some degree of inner peace.  The same can be said for freedom.  There cannot be authentic freedom in the world unless there is a sense/experience/belief/perception of inner freedom.  The founding fathers of the United States of America collectively held that vision from a place and with a conviction that elevated their mission to a frequency which would have been almost impossible to defeat.  Thus the template for America and for the world was birthed in physical form.  As Americans, especially those whose perceptions of power were contradictory to true democracy, garnered more and more influence in governmental and legal affairs, the template became distorted.  And when fear rather than compassionate service became the tool of choice for the majority of  leaders in government, business, education,  medicine and finance, the inner knowing, conviction and vision of freedom was lost to the egoic survival response that was inititated and still holds dominion in the hearts of people everywhere.   And as the power-dominated system experiences its inevitable decline, the survival fears increase proportionately.

Thank God there is a restoration of love-based wisdom in the US government again.  But without the internal shifts in all heart (or at least a critical mass again), the path to true freedom will be a very long, explosive, frightening journey.  What can turn the tide– indeed is turning the tide — is restoring the tenants of the Declaration of Independence in your own heart — and supporting the same for all those with whom you interact.  The reestablishment of love over fear within one’s own heart rings the new bell of freedom within- which can ultimately be manifested outwardly – first in a home, then a nation and then a planet.  When you are uncertain of what choice to make at any given moment in these tumultuous times, stop and assess which choices are fear-based and which are love-based.   The latter will move you forward in the direction you want to go even if a destination is not yet clear.  There is one caveat though.  A choice for love must be grounded in discernment and authentic love, not the egoic version that typically produces  emotional sacrifice, unworthiness, guilt or iself-righteousness.   Restore the altar of love in your heart and then worship at it daily.  Right action and restoration of peace and freedom will be the results – one heart, one voice, one family, one business, one city, one country at a time.  Yet it can happen expotentially  because love is a quantum resource.  Blessing to you on this day.
