Weekly Inspirational Message 8/23/09
(guidance coming to and through Susi…)
A reminder this day – that prayer, like love, is not just a good thought, intention, or emotional expression. Both are powers, energies that weave through your lives and can be amplified and harnessed with the result of manifesting in your body, life and world. Both are contained in you – realized and activated to varying degrees ranging from almost dormant to amazing potency in defining and supporting one’s life journey.
To those only familiar with the physical world and the powers inherent in it, prayer and even love are often viewed as nice ideas that can make one feel better. But the mind typically doesn’t recognize or accord them significant clout. Yet, the same energy that, with just a bit of nurturance, turns a seed into a mighty tree, the same divine intelligence that grew you from a few cells to a complex physical, emotional and mental being (not to mention the spiritual source of your beingness), is still operating in and through you. In truth, every human being is a powerful creator – whether creating consciously or by default. And even those who consciously create, do so through the powers of the mind – for the mind is powerful. For seeming better or worse, just look at how your mind, your thoughts, your perceptions, determine outcome in your life. This is a good playing field to notice and in which to experiment with the power of the energy called thought. Thought is powerful enough that for many it becomes a false God, be it benevolent, dictatorial or otherwise.
Yet, we would remind you that the mind is a creation of the divinity from which you were birthed. Its creations are only a subset. Transcend the mind – or at least be open to such – and you begin to access and harness the very energy of life – that creates and dis-creates from the realm of the unseen, ultimately trickling down into what most call Reality (and sometimes with such speed, that we label it miraculous). For this energy is not limited to the laws of physical life, psychotherapeutic principles or intellectual constructs and expectations. It contains them as a very small part of cosmic expression.
For the purpose of this writing, let us return to prayer. Connection to this divine source of creation through stillness, contemplative prayer, meditation… allows it to permeate your being, providing gifts of healing, remembrance, peace… not matter what is occurring in one’s material world. One type of prayer (petitions) focuses this energy of creation on a particular person, event, organization or issue – like sunlight with a magnifying glass. Please know that no prayer is wasted. No prayer that is heart-sourced goes unheeded in the cosmic unfoldment. Sometimes you are unable to see or recognize the results (Sometimes, you don’t want to see them.) Also the potency and timing of response are also related to the spiritual muscle you have been exercising and growing during your lifetime. We close by reminding you that you are NEVER alone nor experiencing your life for any purpose other than growth, remembrance and ultimately celebration and reunion. There is no judgment other than self-judgment and the laws of cause and effect are impersonal – not punitive. Love is the most powerful force – not the emotion – but the creative source and force of all that is. Open yourself up to an expanded world and it will begin to penetrate the walls and layers of physical reality.
